R&D
Our R&D efforts are focused on solutions for raw (uncompressed) digital signal processing. We have developed coding/encoding algorithms, applicable for various kinds of source signals: time domain (music, vocal, voice), spatial signals (photo, picture, image), spatial-temporal signals (video).
Based on core SS signal processing algorithms we have successfully developed demonstration prototypes for: Audio | Image | Video codec with X2 better performance vs industry benchmarks
Solution
Alternatively to commonly used signal spectrum transformation (DCT and DWT), SS algorithms are based on:
- distinguishing signal relevant information meaning by tiny signal phase change analysis (coding stage)
- pitch perfect signal regeneration by form recovery (decoding stage)
Prototype proven advantages of such kind of core SS approach crystallize in following conclusions:
- SS technology features nearly lossless type of multimedia processing (extremely superior quality with excellent compression)
- Image and Video processing does not have blocking artefacts
- SS is VBR by design and is a good potential for utilization in internet streaming solutions
